about

meet amy and lawrance!

Amy has been testing 6 oz cookie recipes for over 6 years in search of perfection.

When Lawrance tried her 6 oz cookies, he believed in Amy and the Pudges so much that he did all the licensing to bring this business to life!! There would be no cookies without Amy, and no business without Lawrance.

"We celebrate each season & holiday by introducing fun, festive flavors. We hope you'll enjoy our seasonal menu!"

how we develop new flavors

step 1 - ideation

Our customers should get a say in the flavors we create. That's why we send out an open call for flavor suggestions annually. Out of hundreds of entries, we select the most popular flavors and add anything that we're just dying to make.

step 2 - research x theory

We get flavor suggestions like ube, guava cheesecake, vietnamese coffee, and more! There is no blueprint for the 6 oz. cookie flavors we want to create, so we rely on food science, theory, and past pudges. Then it's all in the testing.

step 3 - testing

Some flavors take 20-40+ versions. Some flavors never see the light of day. It really comes down to testing and more testing, and we never release anything we're not proud of.

step 4 - feedback

We rely on a small group of trusted testers who know our standards, some cookie science, and have a good pulse on our customers' preferences.

step 5 - launch & iterate

We track the sales volume for each flavor, often re-testing recipes post-launch to release updates. At the end of each year, we assess our menu and retire anything that performs poorly.

The name batch 22 is a play on catch 22! (and accidentally references to Friends).
Our logo is a potato chef. Amy's brother gave her the nickname Potamy and it stuck. He also named the Pudges :)
Amy's favorite flavors are Gingy Pudge and Cornflake Pudge.
Lawrance's favorite flavors are Choco Pudge, Campfire Pudge, and Coffee Toffee Pudge.
